Portland Neighborhood News Sources: Local News and Events
You may help update this list, following these Guidelines:
-
The list includes commercial and public and government websites for Portland and especially neighborhood news.
-
The list currently does not include TV or radio stations (except for OPB, XRAY, KBOO). The plan is to include more Portland radio and TV stations, but that list is long; in the meantime, here is a link to one aggregate site, e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/
Media_in_Portland,_Oregon -
Send news source and website name and URL to neighborworking@gmail.com
-
Please do not send any insecure URLs; they will not be posted to this list. URLs must be HTTPS, not HTTP.
-
We are currently not including links to specific Facebook pages, which are beyond numerous. We can include a Commment for Facebook that includes search tips for finding relevant neighborhood Facebook pages. Cogitating.
-
We are also not currently including links to the website formerly known as Twitter nor any of its offshoots, none of which are, strictly speaking news sources, although they are sources of news. You know what I mean. Some can be very useful social media sites for important news in emergencies, but for now, we are not sure how to include them – maybe in a list of sites for emergency information? Cogitating.
